After seven terms with Representative Wexler it is unclear who will jump into the race and what the outcome will eventually be. However, Tuesday night many names started to be tossed around as potential candidates. Amongst them were Democrats such as Jose Ruiz, Ted Deutch and Jeremy Ring, as well as Broward Mayor Stacy Ritter.

What is next for the District? Governor Crist will announce a special election; it will be fast and probably a little chaotic. Candidates who have not been in the race thus far will have a hard time raising any funds in such a short time period.
