Jose Manuel Ruiz (born November 14, 1966) is a proud American from the U.S. territory of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Early Life 

Ruiz was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Dora and Manuel Ruiz.  In May of 1985 he graduated from high school in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After graduation, Ruiz moved to Massachusetts where he attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Jose Ruiz received his Masters of Business Administration with honors from Nova Southeastern University, and is currently a professor for Kaplan University School of Business and Management. Jose Ruiz brings to Congress a proven ability to organize and motivate others. Hands-on management style with a strong emphasis on leadership by example and accountability. Jose Ruiz is a performance-oriented individual, driven by goals, timeframes, and quantifiable benchmarks. Ruiz work history includes over 20+ years of experience in computer and information systems related technologies.

Family

Ruiz is married to the former Kelly Martin.  He has two children Alexander and Isabella, and one stepdaughter Caitlin.  In addition, he has his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Minnie. Ruiz currently resides in Lake Worth, Florida.
